About the hike
This route begins with a scenic transfer from Sarajevo to Umoljani, one of the most authentic mountain villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina. From there, the trail climbs toward the panoramic slopes of Obalj Peak with wide views over Bjelasnica and the Rakitnica Canyon.
After a coffee break at Obalj, the hike continues to Lukomir, the country's highest permanent mountain village. You will have time for a traditional lunch, village exploration, and canyon viewpoints before returning toward Umoljani.
